When I was at the end of the old site, I needed another project to do. I was going nuts! What can I say? Sitting still isn’t something I’m the best at. That’s when I started browsing through crochet pattern online. As usual, I went to all of my favorite crochet bloggers in search of a crochet pattern to make. That’s when I stumbled upon Rebecca from Yarn + Chai’s Bean Stitch Accent Crochet Pillow Pattern. It was perfect! I fun project with a great result! That was just what I needed. Plus, it would keep my hands busy. 🙂

After I found the perfect crochet pattern to make, I had to find the perfect yarn. Since this pattern uses worsted weight yarn, I went in search for the perfect yarn for this project. So I went through my yarn stash and found Patons Classic Wool Worsted Yarn.
Instead of just using the traditional pillow form, I decided to improvise. I took some extra fabric laying around here and stuffing. Then I simply did a little creative folding, and then stuffed the stuffing inside the folded fabric. And then of course, I stitched the two sides together on either side of the improvised pillow form. Although, instead of using a slip stitch like Rebecca, I used a single crochet and make 3 single crochet in each corner stitch.
I’d love to know if you decided to make this pattern!

If so, did you make it how Rebecca did, or did you make your own improvisations?
What colors did you use?
Or if you didn’t make this pattern, what kinds of patterns do you prefer? I think I need a little help to decide what to make next.
