I’m not sure about you, but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE fur pom poms!!! <3 They are soooo cute! But when I was watching everyone’s tutorials, I kept thinking – this is way too many steps. That’s when I started brainstorming. How could I possibly make this wayyyyy easier?!?! Well turns out, there were a few extra steps that everyone was doing, that I really didn’t need to do. So come let me teach you how to make the easiest fur pom pom I’ve ever seen!

Faux Fur Fabric
Yarn or Thread
To start, I made a square from faux fur fabric. (You can get this at a craft store.) I used about a 6″ x 6″ square. Although, I don’t measuring it most of the time. It just helps make it easier to eye ball it. Now this is what makes it the easiest. Everyone LOVES tracing to cut their little circle for the pom pom. I said forget it! I figured I could make it look the same without making a circle and turns out I was right. Thank goodness!!
Second, I took yarn and a yarn needle and stitched all around the square.
Then I pulled on both ends of the yarn to make it into a ball. But I didn’t pull it all the way.
I didn’t pull it all the way shut because I needed to stuff it with stuffing. I made sure to use lots to make it super puffy. The more you use, the more it will be puffy. The less you use, the less puffy it will be. Then I finished pulling it shut and double knotted it to secure it extra good.
Now it was time to attach it where I wanted it. I took the yarn through project with the yarn needle.
Next, I took the other yarn end through the project again.
Finally, I tied both end of yarn together. Double knotted.
Now, it’s time to weave in the ends to the project.
Congrats!!! You finished making your fur pom pom and attaching it!! YAY!!!! I’d LOVE to see what you attach your fur pom pom to!
