Do you go to the craft store every week or even everyday?
Have you ever asked yourself why?
I’m sure it has something to do with that 40% off coupon, right?
Here’s the thing, you don’t have to.
Oh yeah!
I dared to say it!
You don’t have to go use that coupon. 😂
Let’s get real.
You will go to the craft store.
Use the coupon on one thing that you really didn’t want or need.
Meanwhile, that skein will sit in your stash for the next 9 years doin’ notta.
Am I right or am I right??
So this is how it went.
I woke up one day and looked at my yarn wall (yes I had a wall of yarn).
All of a sudden I just felt really stressed.
What was I going to make?
How was I going to use it all?
If I didn’t use it all, that would be a waste.
After a couple minutes of calming my thoughts, I asked myself, why do I have this yarn?
It clearly doesn’t make me happy.
You’d think it were convenient.
But I think we all know, you never have the exact right skein for your project.
Organized
After a while, it became very clear.
I could never keep it organized (and I’m an organized freak).
I could never remember exactly what yarn I had.
So I’d just buy another skein while at the store for the next project.
Then the nightmare of the few times, I actually used the stash and the yarn was discontinued.
Yeah, ya know what I mean.
It had been 5 years.
They ain’t keeping that yarn around.
The yarn company has already moved on from that yarn.
Since Then
I’ve been to the craft store a handful of times since.
I had that 40% coupon, and I’ll let you in on a secret.
I didn’t dare.
I’m still be breathing.
It won’t start world war three.
The world won’t end.
It’s all good.
What a relief!
Don’t get me wrong.
I still have a FEW skeins hanging around here.
Just not loads.
A huge benefit is it gave me a chance to find the yarns, colors and fibers I truly love.
Bonus!
More money in the bank from not spending it on yarn I’ll never use!!
Plus, you could get even more in the bank by selling your stash.
Yup!
Cha-Ching!!
This doesn’t mean I’m telling you, this is what is right for you.
Only you can decide that.
In fact, if you decide to keep the stash or not, it’s always great to stay organized.
